BHARATS CHEEKY LITTLE DEVIL OF AN IDEA!
Bharat rang us here at the office this morning and said two things...
"great win for the Warriors on Sunday"....and....
"hey guys...the CEDIA conference is this week and there are many Custom Install professionals from all over NZ who will be attending"...
"...why don't we acknowledge this auspicious occaision by offering some really really special Ci deals"
So there you go, as easy as that Bharats cheeky little devil of an idea has evolved from a Monday morning phone call to a one day sale at our Newmarket Showroom JUST for Ci Customers.
Whats in the sale?
Cable...lots of it!
Speakers...lots of those too!
And one or two surprises to make sure there are no dull moments!
Where is the CEDIA sale?
Avalon Audio Showroom 18 St Marks Newmarket Auckland.
When is the CEDIA sale?
Wednesday June 30th 10am – 6pm.
How do I find out more?
Call Bharat at the showroom on 09 522 0012
C.U.DEER!

Dropped in to the Newmarket showroom, very nice feel and lay-out.
A credit to your company and a great statement for the brands. No doubt Messers Onkyo and KEF will be chuffed with it.

The cable prices you have at the Newmarket showroom are pretty hot!
Crazy prices on the HDMI, those Audioquest 2m cables at $30 a pop are sensational buying. Surprised a dealer does not come in and pick them all up. Should retail for closer to $100
A question:
If I brought my own bookshelf speakers in this week, could I try them on the Onkyo AV5L amp with the NDS1 digital transport attached?
Let me know.

Count me in for some shares!
Avalon is probably the only company turning a profit in its segment these days. How things have turned, and who would have picked it a year or two ago.
The difficulty of a small market and ultra dynamic category.
While on the topic of dynamics, what the heck has happened to Pioneer? I seems to have disappeared
Huh? | posted 13 Jul 2010, 8:26PM | # | Report
Avalon Hi-Fi didn't exist a year or two ago though ;-P
Avalon | posted 14 Jul 2010, 10:05PM | # | Report
Yeah but everybody know Avalon is a reincarnation of the old Avalon Pacific, so I think the reference was more towards that company two years ago...?
Pioneer | posted 14 Jul 2010, 10:52PM | # | Report
has pioneer pulled from the NZ market?

it looks like pioneer are about to change their 2010 range but the looks of the EU webpage

what does digital transfer of iPod mean as apposed to analogue? what does onkyo use?
Pioneer | posted 15 Jul 2010, 10:23PM | # | Report
how do you mean 'what does Onkyo use?'
I think the key measurement of amps for home theatre use is features for the money.
How does the Pioneer stuff stack up against Onkyo?
Can't see anything heading off the TXSR608 in 2010

Pioneer will always be a sluttish brand in NZ, it has not held a strong position here since the 90's. Monaco screwed it and nothing will change. People buy it 'because it is cheap'. Not the sort of repuation a proud Japanese brand strives for.
A real shame because they are revered in other markets like Japan.

Shame about Pioneer, used to have a good name. Pretty much a car audio brand these days
Pioneer in NZ | posted 17 Jul 2010, 10:20PM | # | Report
Pioneer are fine as a brand. It is the distributor that is in a mess. The company (Monaco) has been run in to the ground over the past 3 years.
