Russound's SMS3 Smart Media Server offers unique, intelligent features: three music streams that play independent of each other, at the same time; user-friendly music and image organization and feedback; and the option of two hard drive capacities for individual storage needs.
With the SMS3's 160 GB and the SMS3-250's 250GB hard drive ($7,499), it's possible to listen to music for almost six months nonstop.
Russound's unique Personal Media Assistant (PMA), also known as "The Dean of Media," learns listening preferences. As the system is used, the PMA remembers music choices — songs the user selects to hear more often will be played regularly, while skipped songs will play less often. It also recognizes newly added music. For instance, load a Jazz CD onto the HD and the next time that playlist is chosen, the new music will be there.
With its easy-to-navigate TV screen interface, album covers, artist information, track and song selections are displayed for information and control. Digital photographs can be shown on the TV individually, or as slide shows, and combined with music.
The SMS3 makes it easy for the user to organize music by activity, theme, genre or playlist and plays it back at the touch of a button.
